Job Purpose:

To lead and drive the sales and business development efforts for power and distribution transformers in the Eastern Region of India. The role requires strategic market development, key account management, and achievement of sales targets across utilities, EPCs, and industrial customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute regional sales strategies for transformer products in line with organizational goals.
Lead a team of sales engineers/managers in achieving regional order booking and revenue targets.
Manage key customer relationships including state utilities (e.g., WBSETCL, OPTCL, North East), PGCIL regional offices, private EPCs, and industrial clients.
Oversee end-to-end sales activities – from market mapping, lead generation, tender tracking, bid submission, negotiation, to order finalization.
Identify new business opportunities and partnerships for expanding market share in the Eastern region.
Collaborate with central functions like Engineering, Finance, SCM, and Project Execution to ensure alignment and delivery commitments.
Provide competitor and market intelligence to support product positioning and pricing strategy.
Ensure compliance with company policies, commercial guidelines, and ethical business practices.
Regularly review team performance, set goals, and provide mentorship and development opportunities.
Represent the company in key industry forums, exhibitions, and customer events in the region.

Qualifications:

Education: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (MBA preferred)
Experience: 15–20 years of experience in transformer sales, with strong exposure to business development and leadership roles in Eastern India
Domain Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of transformer technology, specs, and commercial structuring
Familiarity with government procurement procedures, utility tendering, and EPC project sales
